It isn’t often you get to work in a home that has weathered the test of time and purpose. This 1800s barn was converted into a home long before we were brought in to renovate it. The kitchen focused on scale and creative space planning, adding more seating, increasing the island surface, and better workflow. We converted the old silo into an English larder, complete with a workstation sink, under-counter refrigeration, and dishwasher. This room is the key ingredient for any entertainer: all small appliances are stored beautifully in this angled space, acting as a full second kitchen. Each detail was crafted to compliment the barn structure; the cabinetry was installed floor to ceiling. Custom-finished Grabill furniture grade cabinetry was installed, featuring an antique mercury glass mirror to bounce the light around the room.
